Learn more about the novel approach to correlative microscopy, in which a fluorescence microscope and a scanning electron microscope illuminate the same area of a sample at the same time enabling an understanding of cellular structure-function relations. Fluorescence microscopy is well known for its diversity and ability to label almost any biological relevant structure. One of the advantages is that one can simultaneously label different molecules with fluorophores that emit different colours. This makes it possible to study the functioning and interaction of many cellular processes.
