WORKSHOP: Role of the Committee Executive Officer

Part One provides a broad understanding of the contexts in which the executive officer operates. Understanding the University committee system is pivotal to the work of an executive officer. What is governance? How do committees contribute to the governance and administrative functions of the University? How do committees interact at various levels? What are the roles and responsibilities of an executive officer? How can you be a ‘pro-active’ executive officer? What are the challenges faced by an executive officer and how are they addressed? This workshop addresses some of the key issues and aims to provide a better understanding of the contexts in which executive officers operate.
