Looking Local Behind the Headline of Australian Manufacturing : Breakfast by the Bay Other events...
In recent years, Australia has seen the closure of many of its manufacturing facilities. The negative issues surrounding the manufacturing industry have been very well publicised but despite this, many manufacturing companies have continued to thrive. This Breakfast by the Bay brings together three speakers from very different manufacturing perspectives. The panel discussion will explore each company's story and how they are managing the tough economic conditions and challenges facing their industry. The panel will delve into the obstacles faced and how they have overcome them, how the changes within their industry have driven them to look at how their business operates, and how they continue to add value and drive efficiencies in their manufacturing processes providing them with the ability to succeed through the cyclical nature of the manufacturing industry.
Speaker(s) Adam Beattie, Managing Director, ATCO Structures & Logistics; Andrew Bellamy, CEO, Austal Limited; Steve Robinson, Business Unit Manager, ABB; Deidre Willmott, CEO, CCIWA (Moderator)
