Have you ever stopped to listen to the melody of a leaf or thought about what a stick sounds like when it sings? Using natural materials from the world around us children will explore the form and shape of found objects from the world, converting them into melodies, rhythms and visual patterns.
Presented by Educated by Nature and the UWA School of Music as part of UWA's WINTERarts program in conjunction with the 2015 City of Perth Winter Arts Season, this full day workshop for children aged 6-14 years will give participants the opportunity to create mini villages and small worlds, to draw and play music, to sing and spend time connecting with nature. Assisted by digital technology, children will have the opportunity to capture their creations in a take home product to remember their experiences!
