Intended audience:Any staff member who uses (or would like to use) Microsoft Outlook 2010 to better manage their inbox, calendar and to-do list.
Workshop description:Microsoft Outlook can be used to combine information from your email, calendar and to-do list in a single view that will save you time and reduce frustration. Unfortunately the default setup for Outlook may make that goal harder to reach than it needs to be. This workshop will demonstrate a simple approach to changing the default views in Outlook to make them more useful as well as provide a method for managing information as it comes in so that you remain in control.
Intended outcomes:By the end of the workshop you will have a better understanding of how to:
change your default view for email, calendar and task list within Outlook,
move information between email, calendar and task lists without retyping,
quantify the time it takes to do a task,
record time dependent activities in the calendar,
store and retrieve information easily from Outlook through simplified filing and advanced search,
share information with other users without sharing your password.
Key activities:Hands-on exercises that allow participants to control how information is viewed in Outlook 2010, discussions about how to implement this approach in Outlook 2007/2003, problem solving.
