As part of National Science Week, Winthrop Professor Andrew Whiteley and the MicroBlitz team are holding a 'free' training event for 'Grey Nomads' (Seniors). Come along and find out how you can be part of MicroBlitz, an exciting new Citizen Science Project, using wide-scale DNA surveying techniques to map the microbial life of WA soils. As part of the event Professor Whiteley will present a session about his research, participants will also have a session in the lab to extract DNA and learn how to take a soil sample to become a MicroBlitzer! Places for this event are limited and RSVP is required for catering purposes. To book a place contact Deborah Bowie:
