In a first for the UWA Politics Club we are pleased to provide a student currently pursuing his Honours in Political Science at UWA a chance to tell his incredible story of his time in one of the strangest polities in the world - North Korea. Kangwei was evacuated from North Korea in early April as the Korean peninsula stood on the precipice of war. His story of how he came to be in North Korea is by itself one of the strangest tales the Pols Club Exec had ever heard. What Kangwei saw and experienced in North Korea was even more fascinating. Also in attendance will be Associate Professor Jie Chen, whose area of expertise focuses on North Asian politics and international relations. We shall also be launching issue 11 of State Magazine at this policy event, so in addition to listening to some greater speakers you'll also get a great read! Afterwards please join us for a drink, food and fun times to celebrate the end of semester.
