WORKSHOP: Improved Student Learning using Peer and Self Assessment

Self and Peer Assessment by students, when properly implemented, has been shown to result in significant learning gains and deeper understanding. In this workshop the process needed to establish rigorous self and peer assessments will be outlined. Participants will discuss the benefits to both teachers and students of this learning strategy and begin to plan self and peer assessment activities to incorporate in their teaching.
