The purpose of the day is:
To recognise the important role sessional teachers play in the delivery of a quality student experience and to thank them for their contribution.
To provide an opportunity to join and develop a supportive community of sessional teachers at UWA
To provide tangible advice and guidance in the form of short sessions to induct and support sessional staff in their role as teachers.
Who should attend?
Sessional staff may be honours or postgraduate students who tutor for a semester or two, through to highly skilled and qualified clinicians and practising professionals.
Sessional teachers can include adjunct title holders and clinical academics.
Anyone who is employed to teach at UWA on a casual basis, or has a fractional appointment less than 0.5FTE
Anyone who teaches unpaid as part of their professional role.
