Launch of UWA in Second Life : UWA enters the 3D virtual world in full glory Other events...
This event launches UWA's presence in the 3D interactive, immersive world of Second Life. From Winthrop, to Hackett, to the Reflecting Pond, our peacocks, and ducks and the Sunken Gardens, all of these can be viewed in full glory.

Everyone around the world will be able to log in from anywhere and walk the grounds of the campus, which also features some dazzling art installations both of this world, and beyond.

Second Life provides an avenue for alumni, for prospective students, for prospective visiting researchers, for current students and staff.

There will be demonstrations of how to operate in this virtual world, as well as information on how UWA is building international research likages, how virtual education is being carried out, and alo how UWA is hosting an international 3D art competition.

Please join us for the presentations followed by a demonstration and launch of UWA's presence on Second Life by Professor Alan Robson, followed by refreshments & nibbles(pls RSVP for numbers)
